Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions

Are regular teachers well equipped to teach this kind of coursework?
The instructor's Infinity training regime, the Professional Development Institute, covers the basics of the course material as well as how to use the Infinity Technology Kit. This training is extremely hands on for the instructors, ensuring they develop a distinct level of both the curriculum and the technology supporting it.

Is the course designed for students already considering careers in engineering or is it appropriate for any student curious about how things work, such as the Internet and cell phones?
The Infinity Project provides an engineering/technology curriculum designed for all types of students. In today's digital world, we believe students should be exposed to fundamental elements of technology so they will become competent, functioning, well-rounded citizens of the information age. This program helps all students realize, through hands-on experiments and general coursework, that the math and science they have been learning is applicable to real world problems and a myriad of occupations.

Are universities resistant to accepting high school credits for this course?
We have found that universities are very enthusiastic about accepting credit for the Infinity Project coursework. In fact, we will be working this year to arrange a dual-credit option for Infinity students in the future. This will be an incredible feature, both for students and the colleges and universities they will someday attend.
